Re: AllVideos Plugin v2.0: THE all-in-one video management solution
Your product is very exciting. I'm wondering how I can fix this error.
I use ijoomla magazine as my frontend interface. When I try to stick a google video into my capsule, right underneath the player I see this code:
writethis(jsval);//-->
I have no idea how to get rid of it. When I turn my WYSIWYG editor off, go to my content page and try to see what the code is, I don't see it.
But if I go to "View Source" I see the script associated with the plug in. Is anyone else having this problem? How do I fix this?
Many thanks in advance.

Please uninstall and re-install version 2.4. Clean your Joomla cache -if you have it enabled- and check again. Report back.

Re: AllVideos Plugin v2.0: THE all-in-one video management solution
Hello, I read through this whole thread, tried everything but my problem still exists.
My flv videos wont show up. In firefox, it says that the movie isnt loaded.
The wmv / avi videos are working though.
I did the following :
checked for typos.
Disabled every other module/mambot
Reverted back to the default theme.
Used the {flvremote} to link back to my file
Upload a flv saved from [youtube]. (in case my own encoder was at fault)
uninstalled and reinstalled the allvideos plugin.
and it still doesn't work.
am I missing something
my site is at http://magic.bayzone.us
there are 3 videos,
the top one is from images/stories/videos/
the centre one is from [youtube] (works perfectly)
the bottom one is same as the top but linked using flvremote
any assistance would be of great help.
Thanks.

Click this link.
http://magic.bayzone.us/mambots/content ... start=true
So, it's actually a file permissions issue. Try changing the permissions in mambots/content/plugin_jw_allvideos/jw_allvideos_player.swf to 755 or 777.
OK?

Hmmmm. still doesnt work.
I logged on to cpanel and changed the permission of the mambots/content/plugin_jw_allvideos/jw_allvideos_player.swf file to 777
Then i tried to determine whether the problem was with the swf file or the flv file by linking to
http://magic.bayzone.us/mambots/content ... ints%20ide!
(hope kissja doesnt mind)
It also doesnt work.
weird....

Ask your hosting company. And a note: the link you provided "calls" the .swf file, too, not the FLV.

Ok. problem solved!
I quote my hosting company:
Editing each video's code in each page is just a very short term solution though.
EDIT:
I changed the /mambots/content/plugin_jw_allvideos.php
and removed the "$mosConfig_live_site
now its working.
I quote my hosting company:
So i followed his advice and viola! it works. Lots of thanks to fotisevangelou and Thomas of UnsitesolutionsThe command that you are attempting to execute is being blocked by a
security ruleset on the server as the inclusion over http:// can be
maliciously exploited in some version of Joomla. Is there any other
way to do this - perhaps try removing "http://magic.bayzone.us" and
just leave "images/stories...etc"

At some point there has to be more to fixing the problem than just sending a person to the Mambot patch post. I have applied the patch and I still am getting:fotisevangelou wrote:Read this:debragrant wrote: I have uploaded this plugin and it is published on the mambos area, when I click the actual plugin I get 'access denied' why is this. This happens due to bad server setups. Sorry. Consider using some other hosting company.

How would the server setup be bad? What need to be changed? I have full control over the server were the site resides, so I need to know what would constitute a bad server setup.fotisevangelou wrote: This happens due to bad server setups. Sorry. Consider using some other hosting company.

can't I just talk to the hosts to sort this? I don't want to move servers as this is the best priced unlimited space host I have found

Re: AllVideos Plugin v2.0: THE all-in-one video management solution
I just know that similar errors have been encountered by many users in various CMS's or Blog Tools, including Drupal or Wordpress.
It's an odd case, but the reason seems to be bad PHP configuration on the server. I'm afraid I cannot help anyone with such errors, cause I cannot reproduce the error.

Re: AllVideos Plugin v2.0: THE all-in-one video management solution
Greetings,
I'd like some suggestions on how to get AllVideos plugin to work on my site. I'm not seeing any errors but the video doesn't play.
See: http://www.bethelproductions.com/index. ... &Itemid=40
I just upgraded to Joomla 1.12. I'm also using IE7.
Thanks in advance,
Brent

Re: AllVideos Plugin v2.0: THE all-in-one video management solution
How did you add the video to your content item?
Cause I see this link to the video: http://www.BethelProductions.com/videoInterview.flv
Which is wrong
a) cause you are using mixed case characters
b) seems you have uploaded your video in the wrong folder and you have "called" it in your content with wrong tags.
Upload the video to a subfolder like images/stories/videos, set the folder "videos" as the master video folder and then simply insert your video with these tags:
{flv}videointerview{/flv} (no mixed cases in filename text!!)

Re: AllVideos Plugin v2.0: THE all-in-one video management solution
Looks like my problem was related to case of filename and folder name in setup. I had to change 'video' to 'video/'. All lower case on name and the video played great.
Question: Is there a way to pick a 'poster frame' similar to on a DVD? This would let the user decide what image was displayed prior to the video being played. It would be great to say:
{flv}interview-s45{/flv} where the file name is 'interview.flv' and the poster frame is 45 seconds from the start of the video. It would sure beat a page of black screens.
Thanks for your help!

Sorry, can you be a little more specific? What do you mean by "poster frame", a static image?
