It's not about knowing how to do it, It's about knowing what questions to ask and where to ask them..

Re: global content settings
OK, I am curious,
In the documentation I've seen, the content configuration was a tab listed in the Global configuration?
has this changed in recent releases or is it an option that has to be set up somewhere?
mrg.

Re: global content settings
In v 1.0.x, it's in the Global configuration. But, in v 1.5, article preferences are more appropriately placed on the Article Manager page.
This is a forum area for v 1.5. The documentation is for v 1.0.x.
Hope that helps!

Re: global content settings
yeh the documentation I was looking at was:
Building Websites with Joomla! 1.5 Beta 1 - PACKT publishing
so I can only assume it was a misprint or that it changed after printing? (dam... should have asked this in here last night!)
I'm slowly getting my head around Joomla, LOVING IT! (getting my head around CSS at the same time so... it's proving fun!)
I'm curious about the PDF, Email and Print settings (the three little icons optional above articles published to Joomla)
any suggested threads or readings?

Re: global content settings
Not a publishing problem from PACKT, the content settings were located in the global configuration settings in beta-1, this has been changed between beta-1 and beta-2. It makes no sense to put variables to a specific piece of application logic in the global config. This also gives us (or you) the possibility in the future to replace the content component, without being afraid that you break global config.xxnu wrote: yeh the documentation I was looking at was:
