We now have a new Forum Moderator

Post by stingrey » Sun Aug 21, 2005 8:59 am

Well thankfully that was a short search.

Since our irreprecable Mr guilliam, seems hell bent on trying to usurp my position as the Forums Post King  ;D and seems to be around here even more than I, I have duly elevated him as the Moderator for this forum.

Woe betide us all, his wrath and fury  :P

Good luck to him and in the famous words of a great man:
"With Great Power, comes Great Responsbility"  :D

Congratulations to our moderator Guilliam!

^^i fervently pray i'll be able to give justice to this moderatorship in our Filipino forums. surely with what we're seeing in the growing numbers of filipino *ambers sooner or later this will be a little task soon to be a fun task to do... so im expecting less task for now and more in the future(in which i'll be needing everybody's aid in reporting non rule abiding posts or behavior of members).

some things to expect and i need aid into:

1. IF by any chance and any case you find my post/s or behavior not falling in the decent interpretation of the forum rules, PLEASE dont hesitate to inform me or boss rey at once. I too, needs your critiques and guidance.

2. if by any chance you see a fellow member posting that is non abiding to the forum rules set and been posted in the FILIPINO forums,.. pls do inform me via pm or simply click that "Report to moderator" link in the lower right corner of such post.

3. in case of major issues/concerns/requests pertaining to the FIIPINO forums and child boards, again NEVER hesitate to inform me. my fingers are always ithcy to make child boards or sub forums if the neccesity and need arises.

4. everyone is very muched welcome to express out his/her impressions and critique towards guilliam.

5. all moderator actions that guilliam has made is; at all times subjected to an open critique and discussions by all Filipino *ambers.

6. expect a "democratic" due process when a case of reprimanding a member arises.

7. "due process" is at all times expected at all cases.

8. do not expect guilliam to moderate other forums/area in the board outside the FILIPINO forums. this is defintely outside guilliam's JURISDICTION--> ahihihihi!!!. pang pilipinas lang po ang executory priveledge na toh.

9. guilliam is not a court of law nor a court of justice. do not expect guilliam to make the soundest decision. at any rate, guilliam does not believe this would be possible since its clearly stated on this enumeration, refer back to point#7.

10. contradictory from other rules and existing statutes, this enumeration of expectations is NOT subject to change without prior notice to the community. ahihihihi. refer back to point#7.

^^^any additions to the enumeration above given is hereby expressly granted for addendum.

reiterating enumeration #9, "guilliam is not a court of law nor a court of justice". any extreme acts or a top degree of breach of enumeration #9, refer back to enumeration #1. hmmmnnn.. teka,.. teka,.. teka,.. nahihilo ka na yata sa kaka point ko kung saan-saan eh.. ehehhehe!.. sige,. at this point PLEASE do  refer to the final statement below:

again, my hearfelt gratitude to all for the confidence you entrusted.

@Aristocrat,.. hey thank you mate! welcome to the Filipino forums! we basically speak/post english here so you wont have a hard time reading and replying to posts. and congratulations too! youre the ever first non Filipino *amber to post here! ehehhe.. as a little reward, i would like you to meet @chette, she's currently the Filipino(Philippines) forum's MUSE. ahihihi.

@chette, it needs 100 posts for full member, 50 posts for junior member.  havent asked/checked the star rating yet how many posts to have 4 stars and 5 stars. im not a SMF site admin so basically i dont know or cant see what has the admin configured on the star ratings. im basically basing on imperical knowledge by now.

We also talk a lot in "Taglish" -- a slang referring to a combination of the Filipino and English language.

You call that a reward?!? You obviously haven't heard about my reputation (Chette sharpening her knives)

No problem. I think the "Newbie" label is a blessing -- people have been cordial and helping me more than usual.

Heeeeyyyy! budy! How's it going?

Small world isn't it, tell you what ... I'm so happy being the citizen of the community.
You know I ended up doing the quiz and survey components myself. It is probably one of the first complete eLearning apps done in Mambo. Too bad it is not open source.

Everythings fine -  in this side of the world  Rastin

I believe you're the best person to do that component since you already got those learning objects. ;D
Good luck to your learning software based on Mambo, it seems to be very promising.

Extend my regards to John.
