Can anyone recommend a good contact form that allows you to modify its look as well as add additional fields ?

Thanks!

Dan.

I tried the DF_Contact which is great except you cant add HTML content to the page. I wanted to add some images and html to that page and it doesnt let me .. has anyone accomplished this ? Because of this it writes off using this component for me.

I tried the chrono form as well .. not user friendly at all.

Is there any reason the developers of df_contact disallowed HTML to be embeded ?

Whats the best way of embedding formmail which is a feedback form made in CGI into joomla ?

Well
Try ArtForms, or Chronoforms, and do the following:

1. build your form, with your fields, etc.
2. create a normal content item (page / article)
3. install the chronoforms mambot/plugin or artform mambot/plugin
This mambot allows you to render/insert YOUR form created, into any content item. In this way, you'll have your custom HTML in the page, and the form showing where you want inside this page.
4. When editing the page/article, write the special code required to show/call the form
for example
{chronoforms form1}

You'll have to
- read chronoforms or artforms for knowing how to use its mambot
- download the mambot (if it is not provided or installed toghether with the component)
- publish the mambot

Hope this helps, and you should already know the concept of mambot (plugin) to do this, else check the joomla help website to learn this

chronoform is buggy with 1.5.  I tried it and with some patches it almost works  :(
