using ajax in joomla

hi..
i want to know can i use ajax in joomla?
I want the value of a field to be checked with the database and if the value is available in the database, it will give an error message.
Please give an example or show a solution in this case.

The short answer is Yes. You could say more about the context in which you wish to make the ajax call. Is it frontend or backend? Is it a Joomla form or 3rd party form. Is it your own extension code? Meanwhile you could read these:

Hi @ceford.I want to use it for adsmanager component in frontend.
I would appreciate it if you have a suggestion on this matter

Have you looked to see if there is an extension available to do what you want? You may be better asking this question in the Extensions forum. Here is something else to read: https://docs.joomla.org/Using_Joomla_Ajax_Interface

Unfortunately, the developers have stopped support.
I will take a look at the articles.
