Experimental patch to upgrade from 1.0.12 to 1.0.13 without password breaking

Post by casi123 » Tue Jul 31, 2007 6:50 pm

Hi,

With the new version 1.0.13 a lot of bridges are breaked.

So you'll find here a patch to upgrade from 1.0.12 to 1.0.13 without password or session breaking.
I'll test it on my site.

Please, it's an experimental patch, so don't apply it on production site.
Please test it, and send me feedback.

To apply it you need the "patch" command. You can find it on every good OS.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hi casi,

Thanks for the patch, I'll be testing it myself and will also forward it to other Q&T members. We are looking into the issue though. But any help like yours is really appreciated.

You might want to check the Q&T 1.0 forum where there is an unofficial patch posted solving the backend problem.

Can someone tell me which files have been updated. We want to update J1.0.12 to 1.0.13 without the password system changes that exist in the latest version.

RobInk, can you provide the link. I can't seem to find it, thanks.

Thanks RobInk, i was aware of this patch which fixes the admin session some users have experienced.

What i was looking for was a patch which patches J1.0.12 to J1.0.13 without the password system changes but all other minor updates from 1.0.13

I just feel the password system change was unnecessary but would still want to keep our site up to date (with all the minor fixes from 1.0.13).

I find the patch in this post is not very useful to everyone (but thank him for releasing it) and rather have files that we can overwrite our install with. This is something i intend to release to the public if only i knew which files were modified and leave out the lines of codes that have the password system changes in it.

thank you.
