But now it shows a hacked graphic instead of the Joomla logo.

Something is seriously wrong in the Joomla home at this time.

I hope taht the hackers defaced the site by a component....not from the Joomla core... :-\ :-\ :-\

since everything else is in tact , looks like a index.php was left on 777 , they did not enter the server otherwise everything would be down, I hope this will get resolved soon
good luck

This is a Sites and Infrastructure issue.  I am going to move this post to that forum.

Please do not post screen shots and give advertising to the hackers, why anyone would want to give advertising to any person, group etc that hacks other's sites is beyond me and is so unbelievably rude and inconsiderate.

Great gossip here, isn't it!

Now the page I see when visiting the link, shows a page full of adverts, all other links go to joomla.org/parking and an option to make an offer for the domain via sedo??? ???
