edit content - dropdown category doesn't change

Problem Description:
when adding a new content item or editing an existing content item, the dropdownlist with categories doesn\'t change when changing the section.


Actions Taken To Resolve:
- changed the whole MySQL data with the MySQL data from another homepage... changing categories worked fine.
--> conclusion. the error isn\'t in the files, but in the MySQL data. (did a rollback afterwards)

- renamed mos_content, mos_section and mos_category to another name and made a new table with data for mos_content, mos_section and mos_category..... changing categories didn\'t work
--> conclusion... the error is not in these tables. (did a rollback afterwards)

the website exists from 2005

SOLVED

I think there is something wrong with the administrator template "minted"
choosing the default template nothing oges wrong.
