Hi jsauger,
You can download the jd-wordpress component from this link:
http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/nuwordpress/frs/

You can then use this tutorial to install it,its very easy:
http://1guywebdesign.com/joomla-wordpre ... ing-jd-wp/

and then for other modules, you can use this link:
http://www.zerolight.co.uk/web/

It took me 2-3 days to figure out all this, so I am posting all of it in one place, so that you and other fellow mates don't have to spend too much time on this....

Thanks for the info, big help. My next question is this: as of now the content it populates the blog with is "Predators Blog". Am I correct in assuming this is because I am working on a local dev server, causing it to populate with default content? I want to be sure when I publish to the live server it correctly populates the blog with the my clients own content.

Update:
I am not presented with any form of control setting when logged in from the front or backend. The closest I have is the wrapper which loads the WP dashboard from the backend of Joomla, again, this option presents me with no controls to modify settings. When I try to post a comment or new post I get a message "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

Update #2:
The issue was caused by browser compatibility. I was using Safari since I am on a Mac, but when I loaded the admin none of the options were there. I logged into Joomla using Firefox and all controls were available. Hopefully this info will help someone else from having the same issues as it was very frustrating.

Thanks for all the help.

You can go into the Joomla admin and change it to whatever you want....
Or you can login as Joomla admin in the frontend, and an edit button would appear near the "Predator's Blog" and you can change it to whatever you want...

Yes, it would be nice to hear some news from Chris Davenport on NUWordpress.  Anybody have any news on this project?  Let's try to keep up interest in it.  I'm willing to help however possible, though I'm not a developer.  Maybe fewer people were using this component than I thought....

I already have a wordpress installation on my server; and was simply displaying blog posts/articles in a wrapper in my joomla site. I would prefer the integration of JD-wordpress of course and have just installed it.

Is there a way to import the existing blog from the wordpress directory on the same server into the joomla/jd-wp??

I've been trying to download JD-wordpress from the link in the first post
and I can't.  It's a link to the developer.joomla.org site.

How do we get a login for that site?  It asks for a super nuclear secret password?

I really am having a hard time finding JD-Wordpress.  I need it so I can import all the entries
from a blogger site.  I noticed that some others have used joomblog to import the data
from JD-wordpress after that but I can't find joomblog either.

any suggestions.

thanks.

Does anyone know how to make Nu-Wordpress articles go on the home page? Is there an option to set that content so it's displayed on the home?

Hello

Need a bit of help with JD-WorldPress.
I am trying to start a new post after Installing this for the first time.  I keep getting this every time I try to post by clicking on "write post" >:(
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.
I tried to log in from the main page (user login) And also from the Admin backend under a different Superuser name and password.  The only permission for writing a new post is the admin.  I would figure with another user with the same privileges as the admin you would be able to write a new post.  :-[  This post would be the first post in the Blog.  Do I have something set up wrong?

Thanks

SZ

Yes it's for the J1.0.x version. Do you have Legacy mode enabled in 1.5.8? Try that and see if it works.

bassbass, don't install this old JD-WordPress, it's unsupported. it would likely be a moderate security risk.

Either wait for Jpress, or pay for corephp's plugin or MyBlog. There is also another Blog component out there as well, it's about $80.

You've looked at other blogs ?

It looks like Jfusion will now support Wordpress soon.
At last !!!
http://www.jfusion.org/forums/viewtopic ... 602#p39602 (subscribe to this thread to get notification).

[quote]Just keep watching this forum the next weeks. Jfusion has a sponsor for the wordpress 3 plugin. After the sponsor has accepted the plugin it will become part of the jfusion core. For a start see: http://www.jfusion.org/docs/doku.php?id ... reyoubegin and the not yet published page http://www.jfusion.org/docs/doku.php?id ... onfiguring
I am not commenting or answering questions here or in the to be created support (sub) forum until after the plugin is available, but the wait will be over pretty soon.
