Flash .flv movies - no idea where to begin

Hello,

I want to present a lot of FLV files on my website. Had a look at several FLV extensions, but I really have no idea where to begin. I installed joomlacode.org's The Flash Module and the only thing I see is the text The Flash module in the left menu on the homepage. Is this extension what I want/need or am I totally mistaken?

In the meantime I disabled The Flash module and installed LucaZone's playerFLV.
Now I see an error message on the site:
Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in .../public_html/plugins/content/playerflv.php on line 36

Also I cannot manage to include the following code without showing it as plain text in the article description:

I placed the code in the HTML editor, so what am I missing here?

I am still using 1.5.9 , so the problem of 1.5.10 stripping code cannot be the cause of the problem in my case.

There is a script that I should use, but the article description does not save this script.

What am I doing wrong this time?
Oh yeah and I tried to struggle through this one (viewtopic.php?f=433&t=386647), I went to Article parameters and changed filter for Super Administrator to Blacklist, that did not change anything. Regarding the rest of that topic... I see a lot of solutions, they work for some people and for others they do not, so I am afraid to try them all.

First thing I would try is selecting "No Editor" on your profile.

See if the code "sticks" in that interface.

This may be a blind leading the blind reply, but I downloaded the All Video Reloaded (AVR) extension and installed it (1.5.9). It is fairly intuitive and works fine. If you have no idea where to begin, that sounds like me as well, and I found AVR to be a good place to begin.

Then I decided to try another video extension that got good reviews... found it less intuitive, so I decided not to use it. But a day later, I also found my AVR videos were not working. Of course, it was a day before I discovered this, so remembering what I might have changed was a real pain. I tried all sorts of tests before I finally hit upon deleting the second added video player. Some sort of conflict.

So remove any Video player stuff you may have loaded up, and then try installing AVR clean. It should work fine, provided your video files are in images/stories/video and images/stories/audio.

Im reporting that with no editor involved joomla is stripping all tags from my articles upon save. This is causing me time loss ! and article loss.

I tied white and blacklisting Admin and superadmin, makes no difference....

anyone know this im searching the forum seeing lots of these questions with no clear solution.
