Site Redirecting to /cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

Hi,

One of my domains in WHM reseller account is acting weird. The url http://mydomain gets redirected to http://mydomain/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi. I can still access the site by using its ip (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) as http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/~mydomain.

I cannot figure out what the problem is. Please help.

Was it working before? Did it just stop or working or has it never worked? Has the domain name registration expired? If not it sounds like its not been set up correctly in your control panel or by your web host. Best to speak to your web host

Hi Brian,

The domain was working just fine. . The problem started just a few days back. And the domain has not expired.

I am in fact using WHM to manage my clients and this problem has cropped for one of my client. I am new to WHM -- the problem could lie in the settings.

Google search regarding the problem suggested changing the 'httpd.conf' file. But nothing specific to Joomla!

hi Samten,
please check the DNS setting of account.
if your other site are working fine than editing httpd.conf didnt make much sense.
can you ping your site and check whether the site is pinging from your ip domain.
