Missing .htaccess file

Missing .htaccess file

I am having this exact same issue - but when I look in my root files I don't seem to have a htaccess.txt file or a .htaccess file. I can create one and add it, but what should I put in it? thanks

Open a fresh Joomla archive up and copy the htaccess.txt file that you find there to your server. Then follow imanickam's advice
