Joomla 3.2 template manager troubles: not display files
Hi,
i have just updated to Jommla 3.2 and i have a problem with template manager:
template manager shows only folder of the selected template and doesn't show the file, so i can't edit them.
Somebody has the same problem?

I can't either.
I upgraded the manual way and ran the database fix wizard.
Have you had any luck?

I too am having this issue. I tired disabling codemirror as some had suggested, but still no dice.

Re: Joomla 3.2 template manager troubles: not display files
I had this issue until today. I'm not sure if it's a cache issue in the browser or if it's a site issue. Have you tried using a different web browser to see if the results are different? I recall the file names weren't showing up either when seeing the directories on the left side.

Re: Joomla 3.2 template manager troubles: not display files
I had the same problem, upgrading to 3.2 from 3.1.5 or 3.1.6. Just tested it again by installing 3.0.3 (still the default one-click install on Hostgator), upgrading to 3.1.6, then upgrading to 3.2. Could see CSS directory tree, but CSS file contents panes were blank, and also the Close File button would not work.
Logging out, then doing ctrl-alt-del on Friefox to clear the cache, then logging back in, did the trick and it's worked on more than one install (though admittedly on the same host with the same 3rd-party template). Hope this helps.

Same problem here.
I have seen several posts complaining this issue, but none of them are answered.

Re: Joomla 3.2 template manager troubles: not display files
I've just found the solution in this post:
http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f ... 5#p3103577
Seeing this thread's got lots of people looking for it, I've posted it back here.
Not sure if it's a design flaw (investigating further) but the files won't appear if the Template Position preview is disabled.
To enable it, go into Options in the template manager and enable Preview Module Positions.

Re: Joomla 3.2 template manager troubles: not display files
Interestingly, also found that it's a corrective measure... you can turn preview module positions back off, which stops position snooping in the front end, but it will then leave the preview live in the administration area. The giveaway that you won't be able to see the files is the preview icon in the template list... if you have a blue eye, it's all good. A red eye with a line through it will indicate you can't preview the files (which you'll see next to admin templates).

Re: Joomla 3.2 template manager troubles: not display files
I have tried the preview module position fix and the purge cache along with it, but still see no files in the edit block/box regardless of what file I click on. Not only that, but the close, save and close, and just plain save buttons have no effect. The only way off the template manager page is to use the back button on IE. BTW: I am using the default Protostar template.

OK, this is more than bizarre. I had logged out and back in two or three times to my backend using IE. So then I tried Chrome and the problem disappeared. Then I logged out of Chrome and back into IE. THIS TIME all of the problems were solved. Guess I scared IE into submission.jacksw wrote:I have tried the preview module position fix and the purge cache along with it, but still see no files in the edit block/box regardless of what file I click on. One other odd thing, I did NOT have to have the preview enabled.

I've tried all of these fixes and I still cannot edit my css file from the back end of my joomla install.
Any other ideas?
