SOLVED - Add custom stylesheet for administration?

Post by gwmbox » Wed Feb 11, 2015 1:51 am

How do I add a custom stylesheet to the default Joomla Admin from within my template? The styles I want to use are not to replace existing admin styles but to add to them.

Cheers

GW

If by 'within my template' you mean the frontend template, that will not work. You can make a duplicate of the admin template, assign it as default and then modify the CSS as desired.

Thanks for the reply, however I just discovered how to do this quite simply :)

In the front end template templateDetails.xml file you can add an external stylesheet for the admin by adding the following in the description

Code: Select all

So for example you may have

Code: Select all

Some description about your Template

You then make sure you have an admin folder with the styles.css file within it as part of your template :)

I hope this helps others as well ;)
