Database schema version (in #__schemas): 3.9.0-2018-10-21.
Update version (in #__extensions): 3.9.0.
Database driver: mysqli.
148 database changes were checked.
207 database changes did not alter table structure and were skipped.

I've never seen the FIX fail before! Anybody have any ideas?

** PS: I just checked out our LIVE server - and found it reports exactly the same errors as above... I guess this problem goes back a ways? (Not sure how I missed it on the 3.8.13 update!)

Database schema version (in #__schemas): 3.8.9-2018-06-19.
Update version (in #__extensions): 3.8.13.
Database driver: mysqli.
131 database changes were checked.
188 database changes did not alter table structure and were skipped.

Yes, that is using Server version: 8.0.13 - MySQL Community Server - GPL

( fresh DEV server install came with it, and actually the 3.8.13 with the same errors is a fresh clone of LIVE on DEV server - I see that the real 3.8.13 live server is still on MySQL 5.5.55 and does not have the DB error message...)

 Kidding!!! (MySQL Current Generally Available Release is 8.0.13 - version 8 has been out for QUITE SOME TIME)

I do not see anything on the Joomla "requirements" page stating that the current version of MySQL is not compatible... ( https://downloads.joomla.org/technical-requirements only states "5.5.3+")

That is interesting, but not really relevant...

"It's not possible to connect to a MySQL 8 Database using Joomla 3.8, 3.9 or 4.0."?? Is that article out of date??

My 3.8.13 and 3.9 installations have no problem connecting with the MySQL 8 database. There were no error messages during the upgrade from 3.8.13 to 3.9. All functions appear to be working fine - I just noticed all these errors when I happened to check the Extensions | Database....

I'm not saying it doesn't work. I'm saying that there are still some wrinkles that needs ironing.

Dear Joomla supporters,
I can confirm the exact database warning with the exact 19 items as described above. I am using MySQL 8.0.
