Running kickstart with domain name transferred

Post by JohnSmithers » Thu Sep 12, 2019 12:35 pm

Is there a way to run kickstart on a new host before I've pointed my domain name to it?

I can access via ftp but I have no assigned url.

Are there options available?

Assuming your host allows it (mod_userdirectory not blocking this) you can run http://yourip/~username/kickstart.php (or rename kickstart to something like 'restore.php' and run that. Replace 'yourip' with the actual IP of your server
