Hello msmgin
I tried to do the same thing and I never succeed with Media manager who don't see svg files
I succeed in uploading svg by FTP and past the svg file name directly in a page and it worked
Which template do you use ?

It can be made to work (I experimented with a .svg file and Protostar) but it's a bit of a fiddle. See viewtopic.php?t=869042 for the answer.

Joomla works with svgs, no problem, it just won't show them when you want to select an image to insert.
And you will need to use ftp to upload svgs (to the correct folder).
What I do is the following:
- all my svgs are in the svg folder;
- in that folder, there is also one small jpg, for no other reason than that it is visible;
- make sure you know the filename of the svg you wish to insert (another good reason to keep filenames as short and simple as possible);
- when I need to insert an svg, I go to my svg folder, and click on the jpg;
- under the images, there is a box that says ""Img URL" - there you can change the name of the jpg to the name of your svg (with the extension .svg, not .jpg, obviously);
- click "insert".
(Clicking on the jpg first ensures that you will be using the correct path).

The fact that an opinion is widely held is no evidence whatsoever that it is not utterly absurd.

Re: how i can use svg image for my logo
Hello everyone
I have just found an even better way with JCE Editor :
In Content / Media / Options
Legal Extensions (File Types) --> add svg
Legal MIME Types --> add image/svg+xml
In Components / JCE Editor / Default (or your profile)
Plugin Parameters -> Image Manager Permitted File Extensions --> add svg and click on the + sign
Then you will be able to insert svg files like other image files
