Define 'Directory Template'
What is 'the directory'?
What is 'the directory'?

i have a template by CMSJunkie that allows you to create various directories. the directory i have created i only want "members" to be able to view. this directory is listed as a component in Joomla.
since i cant link to their site i cant give you an example but i hope my answer makes sense

You are not making any sense. You have a Template that creates directories that become a Joomla Component?
Installing the Template may have included a Component or you may have used a 3rd party Joomla install that contained a Component ... but a Template does not create a Component.
Please explain clearly what you are doing.

That component should have Options >>> Permissions. You can then set Permissions and have a paid membership extension. https://extensions.joomla.org/instant-s ... membership
