site name dropping onto two lines

Post by keldale » Tue Aug 11, 2020 1:48 pm

My site is at https://hypnotherapists-companion.co.uk/
The title of the site (above the image) is quite long and drops onto two lines. Is it possible to stop this and have it on one line without reducing the font size?
Joomla version is 3.9.20

Reviewed the site.

The div id site-name-handler that is being used for displaying the Site Name. What could be done is to alter the following css entry that is available in the file layout.css located in the directory templates/expression/css/.

Original CSS entry:

Code: Select all

#site-name-handler  {

}
Suggested CSS entry:

Code: Select all

#site-name-handler  {
width: 100%;
}
Make sure to take a copy of the file layout.css if you are altering it.

Following is the screenshot of how things would change if the above method is implemented.
Site_Name_in_One_Line.jpg

The above mentioned method is one of the ways to achieve what you want.

Other possible ways:
(a) Check whether the layout of the template could be changed if you open the default template style for Edit
(b) Use a custom css entry or file if the template supports it.

Note:
Being a commercial template, it is hard to download and test the efficient way to achieve this.

Thank you for this. I've tried altering the #site-name-handler but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I guess something in the template is over-riding it. I'm not that technical and can't do custom css so will go back to the template provider and ask them.
