Hallo
After update Joomla 3.10.6 to 3.10.7

1054 Unknown column 'authProvider' in 'field list'

an error appears in the administration panel. The front page works. What is the cause and how can I fix it? I can't do anything in the admin panel.

Restoring from backup is not a problem but I would like to know why this error appeared in the admin panel after updating to the latest Joomla version? So far I have updated and there has never been a problem.

When you restore from backup and post the results of the fpa then we can look to see what might have caused the problem.

I haven't seen any mention of any "Unknown column 'authProvider' in 'field list'" in J! 3.10; I probably won't encounter this situation any time soon but, then again, I haven't updated any of my J! 3.10.6 websites to J! 3.10.7 yet.

This begs the question, did this error occur with J! 3.10.6? I agree with @Webdongle that it would be best to "roll back" the update—delete the J! 3.10.7 file system and restore the website from the backup that you took before you updated—and see if this "unknown column" error occurs in J! 3.10.6. If the error does not occur in J! 3.10.6 then you may have found a bug in J! 3.10.7.

I just upgraded to version 3.10.7 from 3.10.6 and got the same problem ... How fix...

I see the same error message, but on Joomla 4, when updating from 4.1.0 to Joomla 4.1.1. Could this be something common for both of today's releases? The bug only occurs when trying to login on frontend, the backend is ok. I have not seen this when updating from 3.10.6 to 3.10.7, and I have never seen this bug before on 3.10.6 or 4.1.0.

See discussion(s): viewtopic.php?f=9&t=992880 and viewtopic.php?f=9&t=992878. The updates contain errors that break J! websites. Fortunately for me, I haven't updated any of my J! 3.10.6 websites and I've only updated one disposable test J! 4.1.0 website.

The fix—for the present—is to DROP your existing database tables, delete the existing J! files and restore both of them from the backup you made before you updated.

Hello from Moscow! I got this problem after updating today. From the backup, I replaced only two folders on the server.
1. The src folder in the libraries directory
2. plugins folder
Login to the admin panel has been restored, the version shows Joomla! 3.10.6
I didn't delete the database table
Good mood friends!

Go to your database with phpadmin.
Add a column to the table px_users, name authProvider, type Text
Then you'll acces your admin panel. Goto Extension - Database and fix the errors in the database structure.

Wow, what a disaster....

I tried following prz24's fix, but I'm not even a MySQL beginner. I tried:

ALTER TABLE <table_name>
ADD COLUMN authProvider TEXT;

but got the error #1067 - Invalid default value for 'registerDate'. I'd really appreciate some help. Only about 80 sites to fix......
