How to display the date in Malalyalm?

Dear friends,

I cant display the date in malalyalm. sunday, 13 july 2008 comes like this रविवार, 13 जुलाई 2008.
i want the sunday and july in malayalam.
i am using

IndicJoomla1012
malayalam_translation_1.0.13_RC1

from indicjoomla.org.

can anybody guide please.
it will be a great and precious help.
if i send this to wrong session ... forgive me and pls advice me on it.
i am not an expert in web programming.
please consider it.

Dear friends

i solved it.
i created the database initally before the joomla instlation and made sure db is in utf-8 general ci.
also i used joomla from the joomla.org, not indicjoomla one i used.

hope this will help somebody also.
i took one full day and night to find the solution

What version of Jomola did you use from the Joomla website? Was it the same that you used from IndicJoomla, that is 1.0.12?
