Email template and language questions

Something is wrong with the new Email Templates feature after migration from J3.
When I edit an email template, the buttons "Reset to Default Subject", "Reset to Default Body" do not behave correctly. Also when saving I get an "Invalid Language Code" message. See attached pics.
Any idea?
